if you see the way Hamas have basically turned their area into Islamic hell hole with Christians leaving and moving to Israel the Pally Muslims can't really play the victim card. If the people vote for Islamic rats that bomb Israel then you have to expect come back. Israel don't fuck about like Europe does with terrorists.

The other side of the same coin. Pecks, is that Israel & Palestine are surrounded by very wealthy Muslim nations who could, should they choose to do so, easily & peacefully solve the Palestine crisis - even if only to get their fellow Muslims out of the area and let them have a chance to better themselves.
Why should the Palestinians leave?
Sometimes you have to lose a battle to win the war. The Jews left ("their" homeland) a while back, and they seem to have done alright since...

I spent a week in Jerusalem and the West Bank last summer with a TV reporter and journalist. I went to Hebron, Ramallah, Jericho, Bethlehem, refugee camps etc.
Atrocities have been committed on both sides. There are a lot of liberal Jews who do not agree with the policies implemented by the right wing government but cannot speak out. They keep quiet or leave the country that to me they have every right to remain in.
Some highlights for me were:
Seeing brand new roads built in West Bank solely to transport the illegal settlers to Jerusalem etc. All other roads just for the Palestinians are in terrible condition. You can always tell a settler house from a Palestinian house. Settler houses have very small water tanks with solar panels on their roofs. Muslim houses have massive water tanks. Why? Because the Israelis control water and randomly turn it off to piss locals off.
The settlements, illegal under international law, are HUGE. Not just for a few thousand, but for tens if not hundreds of thousands in some cases. They have lawns and flowers as they have constant water, where as literally over the road in Muslim streets, its dirty and arid.
The place reminded me of what occupied France would be like in the 2nd world war. Roads that the locals cannot go down, check points everywhere. Deserted towns with boarded up shops solely due to Israelis closing areas on a whim due to 'security issues'.
Bethlehem should be a huge tourist trap, but its in the West Bank, so most tourists are ferried in and out in coaches by Israelis so they dont spend anything at local shops etc. The place was a ghost town, shops closing etc.
Israelis and Palestinians have different number plates, so the IDF etc have an easy way to differentiate, and therefore hassle and unfairly target muslim owned cars.
I have never been to such a racist place in my life, and the government call Israel the only democracy in the middle east. Laughable.
I went to the Aida refugee camp and hung out with a guy involved in charities there. Fantastic to see so much donated to them due to the Celtic campaign
I was pretty neutral on the issue before going to Israel, but its difficult to not feel a lot of sympathy for the Palestinian cause after being there.

On this issue, you may well have issues with every single Celtic supporter on earth. I don't. Can't really be called plastic fans or happy clappers can they? Fair play to them.
Spurs have been draping Israeli flags all over their gaff, and also away for years even when they don't have Israeli players. is that ok? Why no fuss there?

I know some Rangers fans who side with Palestime, because they've chosen to attempt at understanding the conflict. I haven't. I'm a neutral.

Pub - like some of the posters on here, you make massive assumptions without any facts. I normally take the side of any oppressed person who has a legitimate claim to a life that we would deem normal. In this case, Celtic fans agree and if you go to the donation page, which you won't, even some Rangers fans are in agreement.
Well done mods and any old iron, nearly 130k raised for Palestinians . Brilliant that WHO is bumping this up. Well done you Israeli hating fans.
